Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC)
The DSC measure the difference, according to the temperature, of thermal flux between the sample and a reference.
Different programs of analysis can be set up, carrying out ramp at constant speed or isoterm at constant temperature .
It is possible to gain both qualitative and quantitative information on phase and state transitions, indicating the temperatures at which they happens and the correlated variations of entalpy
By DSC can be analyzed metallic, polymer or ceramic materials.
